Job description:
Fundy Nursing Home in Blacks Harbour New Brunswick is seeking a full time Director of Nursing to join our team. We are a Long-Term Care Home which takes care of 27 residents.
As a member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and organizing all care aspects to our residents in accordance with the nursing home's policies and provincial acts and standards. Additionally, the Director of Nursing is responsible for supervising all members of the care staff, ensuring compliance with provincial standards and the homes policies, introducing/maintaining staff education, evaluating care staff’s overall abilities to fulfill their roles, etc.
This position's hours is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Qualifications required include:
-Baccalaureate degree in Nursing supplemented by recognized courses in administration and/or health care,
-Be a Registered Nurse with NANB,
-Two years relevant supervisory experience,
-Experience in gerontology or long-term care considered an asset,
*For those interested but not having above supervisory experience, courses can be taken while working in the position.
Salary and Benefits are in accordance with the provincial Nursing Home Management Salary plan.
